On the shores of Life

Standing on the shores of life,
I ask life- who am I?

Am I a friend,a messenger of love
A human meant to serve?

Am I selfish about living for myself
or am I being rightful when it comes to my life?

What am I supposed to do
Follow my dreams or make a dear one happy?

I begin reflecting on my desires and find none
I begin discovering my dreams but find them bound!
Dreams were meant to be set free
Then why am I trying to cage them inside?

Tell me life..Can I be and yet not be?
Can I be joy yet not last forever?

Flowing with time,
reflecting on times gone by
wanting to undo a few moments
change the time for some events
I move along the shores of life
flowing with the tide...
