Life-understood backwards, lived forward!

As the sun shines bright
and the cool breeze flows
As the clouds greet the sky
and chirpy birds fly high
As the air wraps around my arm
like silky touch of a lover
and dew drops trickle down the leaves
As the church bells ring
and the first prayer is sung
As fields swing with fresh colors
and flowers begin to bloom
As the waves calm down
and the sun rises to a new day...

I wake up to another day
Wondering what is meant to last?
I left behind memories last night
only to create new ones today
and lose them to another night when it dawns

I know...
This day must end
Rainbows must fade
Autumn must follow the spring
Time must click fast
Love must be lost
and nothing is meant to last

As the sun shines bright
Calling me to live another day
I wake up to my memories
taking in stride all the pain of yesterday
and living once again for today.
